New friends, interesting stories, similar habits and positive environment… The Summer School participants were first divided into teams, then they tried to get to know each other better through practical work and spoke about their expectations from the international student programme.
Within the framework of the assignment entitled "Me and Armenia", foreign students presented their impressions about our country: before their visit to the country they associated Armenia with Mount Ararat, khachkars, churches and fruits.
On the second day of the programme the participants visited Noravank Monastery, Gladzor University Historic-Cultural Preserve-Museum, which was one of the most notable educational institutions of medieval Armenia and Tanahat Monastery.
“What’s interesting is that this structure is in good condition considering its age. It reflects the culture of ancient Armenia,” said Wang Xininwen, a student of Southwest University (SWU). Talking to aspu.am, the Chinese participant said he would like to see the structure still standing years later.
Ekaterina Lukanina, a student of Saint Petersburg University of Economics, adds that Armenia is a historical country and she is happy to take with her new knowledge and impressions.
New discoveries and visits await the participants of the Summer School 2019.
