The next international summer school program organized by Armenian State Pedagogical University (ASPU) has come to an end. This year again, the annual program has brought to Armenia many foreign students (about 65 participants) from partner universities and other educational institutions. The unforgettable, interesting and busy week was concluded with a beautiful event at ASPU’s educational base in Aghavnadzor.
The program participants say the Summer School gave them an opportunity to acquire new friends, enjoy warm hospitality and the program. They thank the organizers for the unique initiative, which is equipped not only with educational, but also with entertainment and cognitive components. The participants introduced their Alma Maters, educational opportunities and expressed hope that the stories and connections that started in Armenia will have a successful continuation. "We love you and we're waiting for you," the foreign participants said and thanked ASPU and its representatives.
Marianna Harutyunyan, ASPU Vice-Rector for Human Resources and International Cooperation, wished success to the participants and handed over certificates of participation. She voiced hope that the participants will remember the seven-day summer school program even years later. The vice-rector emphasized the importance of maintaining the tradition of organizing summer schools and expanding the number of partner universities every year. "With such initiatives, we enable students have new friends, provide new opportunities for their worldview both in our university and through mutual programs, enable our students to participate in similar programs organized by international partners," Marianna Harutyunyan stressed.
Regarding involvement of students from non-partner universities in the program, Marianna Harutyunyan said that even a small joint program can be used for the benefit of students and professors. She added that students’ suggestions were also taken into account, in particular, they doubled visits to Yerevan as the foreign participants like the capital of Armenia very much.
President of the ASPU Student Council Paruyr Galstyan considers the Summer School program to be the best way to communicate with each other, to get to know each other, learn the culture of countries and establish new connections. “This is an effective way to represent our country and culture. They were especially impressed by the historical and cultural places in our country. Some of the program participants are bloggers and have many followers. Representing Armenia and the University on their social platforms is doubly important from the point of view of expanding the ties of the University,” he said. Mr. Galstyan added this year's participants were special as they showed willingness to communicate with each other and establish connections. During the final event, the participants once again thanked ASPU for the effective program and promised to return to Armenia, a country well known for its hospitality and warmth.
Let us remind that undergraduates, Master’s students, PhD students and employees from Moscow State University of Psychology and Education, Moscow City Pedagogical University, North-Caucasus Federal University, North Ossetian State University, Ural Federal University and other educational institutions participated in the one-week summer school international program held at the Aghavnadzor-based educational centre of ASPU.
