Today, the Acting Rector of the Pedagogical University Professor Ashot Khoyetsyan welcomed the President of the Los Angeles Union of Armenians of Iran Tomik Alexanian and the member of the HyeID Board of Trustees Razmik Garakanian.
During the meeting Tomik Alexanian introduced his organization, their operations and activities conducted in the Diaspora, and the pro-Armenian activities of the centre. He also underlined that no matter where, it is a priority for him personally to be useful for Armenian people, and for the centre to support all Armenians.
In his turn, the Acting Rector Ashot Khoyetsyan presented the history of the University, its chronicles, and the structure, as well as spoke about the work conducted by the “Diaspora” Research Centre of the University.
Next, the parties discussed possible perspectives of mutual cooperation, and methods to strengthen scientific -educational ties.
“You serve the best example of how Armenians can achieve great success beyond the borders of their country with their correct activities”, the ASPU Acting Rector noted.
Moreover, the President of the Trade Union of the University, Associate Professor Hasmik Sargsyan was also present at the meeting, and by her initiative they discussed the events organised on the 100th anniversary of the University, which are also planned abroad.
Later on, the guests attended the rehearsal of the dance group of the Department of Music of the Chair of Dance Pedagogy, Faculty of Culture, after which they visited the ASPU Faculty of Art Education and got familiarised with various works in the different fields of art prepared with a diversity of innovative approaches.
Summing up, Ashot Khoyetsyan presented to the guests from the Diaspora with a book by the ASPU Professor Ara Hakobyan headed “The Sea Painters of the Armenian Nation” together with a few pieces of students hand-made works.
