The results of the annual “Nrneni” Intercollegiate Festival were summed up at Armenian State Pedagogical University (ASPU) during a solemn awards ceremony.
The three-day event had brought together talented youth from eleven educational institutions. During the ceremony, awards were given in the genres of song, dance and recitation.
Welcoming the participants ASPU Rector Srbuhi Gevorgyan said the Uuniversity stays true to its mission: it willingly provides a platform to students to establish interesting dialogue and interaction. The rector emphasized the importance of the competition saying it boosts and develops creativity and helps self-expression in the professional and social fields.
Srbuhi Gevorgyan added that the University's creative specialties give the educational institution a unique charm: after all, culture is the fundamental pillar on which components of personal identity are formed and the University's mission is aimed at.
President of the ASPU Student Council Paruyr Galstyan also emphasized the importance of the festival. He considered it to be a great event for the student community. The 30-year-old student structure preserves traditions through such competitions, becoming an important link that unites young people.
Winners in the dance competition were announced on the last day of the event. Evaluating the technique, costume design, and expressiveness, the jury awarded 3rd place to Norayr Hambardzumyan and Mane Hayrapetyan, both students of the National Polytechnic University of Armenia. Anzhelika Tonoyan, a student of the Armenian National Agrarian University, came 2nd and ASPU student Christia Manukyan took 1st prize.
Hrach Khalatyan, a student of Yerevan State University, came 3rd in the in the recitation competition. Anahit Grigoryan from the National Polytechnic University of Armenia and Manana Mneyan from ASPU took 2nd and 1st prizes respectively.
Summing up the results of the competition, President of the Student Council Paruyr Galstyan congratulated the student councils on the 30th anniversary of the establishment and handed over with certificates of appreciation.
