Winners of lesson plan competition receive certificates

Marianna Harutyunyan, ASPU Vice-Rector for Human Resources and International Cooperation, handed over certificates and symbolic gifts to the winners of a lesson plan competition dedicated to ASPU’s 100th anniversary.

Last year, English language teachers of public schools participated in the competition organized jointly by the Chair of Romance and Germanic Languages, "Pass" training center and "Cambridge Assessment English."

Out of 25 teachers trained in the first stage, seven entered the second stage and were named winners.

After the training, the participants of the competition created a lesson plan based on the idea of educating an “Entrepreneurial Citizen.” Stella Sargsyan's "We Don't Need That Much to Be Happy" and Venera Melkonyan's "Armenian Culture: Armenian Legends" were named the best lesson plans.

Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages Tigran Mikayelyan welcomed the teachers and invited them to participate in the next training courses.

The participants of the competition emphasized that the format was interesting and they would like the initiative to be continued in the future. They will exchange the lesson plans to be guided with them in their classrooms.
