Within the framework of the Erasmus+ MODEST project the trainings of the "Doctoral School" program took place at the ASPU Aghavnadzor educational base for the first time on November 9-11, then, at the request of postgraduate students the 2nd stage launched on December 17. A total of 11 graduate students participated in the program.
The objective of the school was to equip participants with the skills and knowledge to carry out research and scientific innovation.
Lectures were delivered by experts and participants of Erasmus+ MODEST project. During the lectures, the courses developed within the Erasmus+ MODEST project, the training modules, as well as the activities of the doctoral school established at ASPU were presented. In particular, the following topics were presented: organization of doctoral school, research ethics, intellectual property rights and personal data protection, academic writing and presentation skills, research design and methodology, commercialization of research results, digital literacy, communication and cooperation, and the research process: an eight-step model։ Development of learning outcomes for doctoral courses.
At the closing ceremony, participants were awarded with certificates of participation.
Erasmus+ MODEST (Modernization of Doctoral Education in Science and Improvement of Teaching Methodologies) project was implemented in 2019-2022. The aim of the project was to expand the collaborative capacity of partner countries' higher education institutions in the field of postgraduate education within the framework of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) and the European Research Area (ERA).
