ARMENIAN STATE PEDAGOGICAL UNIVERSITY AFTER KHACHATUR ABOVYAN

The first phase of the second work package of the Erasmus+ ARMDOCT project /Reforming Doctoral Education in Armenia in line with the academic community, industry needs and the EU practices/ was finalized.

We would like to note that the objective of the second work package of the Project was to develop national policy for doctoral education and legal regulatory documents, supporting Armenian integration into the European higher education and research areas.

Within the framework of this package, five working groups have been created under the coordination of the RA counterpart universities and the Ministry of ESCS; the activities of the 3rd working group, aimed at the organization of Doctoral education, are coordinated by the Head of the Department of International Cooperation of the Pedagogical University. 

Herein, the working groups are as follows:

• 1^st State Policy for Doctoral Education- coordinated by the RA Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports
• 2^nd Admissions to Doctoral education courses – coordinated by the Yerevan State Medical University
• 3^rd Organisation of Doctoral courses – coordinated by the Pedagogical University
• 4^th Graduation from Doctoral Programmes – coordinated by the International Scientific -Educational Centre of the National Academy of Sciences
• 5^th Ensuring the linkage between science and economy – coordinated by the Armenian National Polytechnic University
