Professor of the Chair of Informatics at the Armenian State Pedagogical University (ASPU) Gohar Nahapetyan participated in an international scientific conference hosted at the State University of Shirak.

Held on-site and remotely under the title “Current Issues in Education and Science”, the scientific conference featured speeches by nearly 160 participants from a number of scientific and educational institutions in Armenia and abroad.

The event was held in 7 sections, including Physical-mathematical, technical, biological, (agriculture), historical and philological sciences and their teaching methods; economics; art criticism and psychological sciences.

The professor of the ASPU delivered a speech entitled “Didactic rationale for a model of advanced teaching in the context of the subject ‘Digital Literacy and Computer Science’”. “The rapid changes in the modern learning environment require didactically substantiated and innovative approaches which ensure effectiveness of instruction and compliance with the requirements of the information society. In the teaching of this subject, what plays a special role is the model of advanced teaching, the aim of which is to establish and strengthen the cognitive foundations of learners before they fully master the content,” the speaker noted.

As the co-chairs noted, the scientific conference featured heated discussions, exchange of views and opinions and proposals to solve the issues raised.

The participants of the event were granted certificates. As for the articles to be recommended for printing after critique, they will be released in the second volume of the Scientific Bulletin of the State University of Shirak for the year 2025 — included in the list of academic publications acceptable for the Higher Education and Science Committee of the Republic of Armenia.
