Armenian State Pedagogical University (ASPU) is not only an educational but also an important scientific center. Currently, the following professional councils operate within the University:

• Philosophy Council (062)

• Psychology Council (064)

• Pedagogy Council (020)

The aforesaid councils play a crucial role in training highly qualified scientific personnel, by supporting the implementation of innovative research and improving the level of education.

They are an important component of the academic degree awarding process and aim to develop the scientific potential of both ASPU and other higher educational institutions (HEIs) in Armenia.

Each council is in charge of organizing the process of professional research, defense of scientific theses, and academic degree awarding, promoting the continuous improvement of the scientific potential of the University.

This is an important contribution to the formation of the scientific community of Armenia, which boosts the progress of the field and ensures the training and availability of a new generation of scientists in the country.
