26.12.2025
The Rector’s Office of the Armenian State Pedagogical University held its enlarged year-end session.
Acting Rector Lilit Mkrtchyan touched upon the achievements that the University has made in various sectors during the passing year and, in this context, attached importance to improvement of the University’s positions in ratings, advancement of science and education and the many student events.
During the session, Lilit Mkrtchyan also touched upon the structural changes of the University approved by the Board of Trustees and the new staff list, emphasizing the fact that the actions taken in the transitional stage and the policy are aimed at overcoming the current problems and arise from the interests of the University’s staff and the institution.
Touching upon the salary raise and the upcoming changes, the Rector assured that the completed works will be considered individually, taking as a basis the principles of legality, fairness and equality.
The Acting Rector viewed the structural changes as the current imperative due to the need for equal distribution of labor and for ensuring high level of effectiveness of the University’s activities, quality of education and operation of the University’s subdivisions.
Lilit Mkrtchyan noted that one-and-a-half months are not a long period of time for qualitative analysis and identification of the in-depth problems.
The Acting Rector also touched upon the upcoming reforms, emphasizing that they need to arise from the strategic plan and help the University develop and become a major part of the “Academic City” Program. During the year-end session of the Rector’s Office, Lilit Mkrtchyan granted honor certificates and, as a gift, presented a book to the students of the ASPU having won the “Best Student” competition, wishing that they read books, develop and always present themselves with honor.
The ASPU Acting Rector answered the staff’s questions, expressed gratitude to the attendees for the work done and wished everyone happy holidays.
