Cooperation in educational leadership discussed with experts from Estonia

On May 11, 2026, the Armenian State Pedagogical University (ASPU) hosted representatives of the Academy for Educational Leadership at Tallinn University - Reet Sillavee and Mari-Liis Sults.
During the working meeting, the parties discussed issues related to educational leadership, school management, and development of modern teaching methods.
The specialists from Estonian have been involved in programs in Armenia aimed at developing leadership and management skills among Armenian school principals and administrative teams.
During the meeting, the guests were introduced to the history of the University (ASPU) that has a history of 100 years, its educational mission, the specialties it offers, preparation and training of teaching staff, the educational process, as well as cooperation and achievements in the international sphere.
Acting Rector of ASPU Lilit Mkrtchyan emphasized that the University values cooperation with foreign HEIs and is particularly interested in educational experiences of Estonia, the methods of organizing studies, models for implementing internships, and effective systems of educational leadership.
She also presented the Master’s program in Education Management offered by ASPU, emphasizing the importance of professional development of educational leaders, formation of management competencies, and the need to strengthen the link between modern leadership and the education system.
The parties emphasized the importance of exchanging experience, implementing joint school management programs, conducting training sessions with the university’s involvement, and prospects for expanding cooperation in the field of educational leadership. They highlighted the need to introduce effective leadership models and to localize international best practices for the development of modern education.
