The “Best Student” Awards, the most anticipated student awards ceremony, was held at the Armenian State Pedagogical University (ASPU).

Out of the University’s 10 Faculties, the best students were previously selected, including Hasmik Galstyan, Hasmik Petrosyan, Elen Nemesnikyan, Astghik Harutyunyan, Karine Avalyan, Mariam Grigoryan, Shushan Khachatryan, Julieta Sahakyan, Anna Kharitova and Simon Hovhannisyan.

ASPU Acting Rector Lilit Mkrtchyan congratulated the top students and noted the following: “You are already the best students of the year. You are students of the main university for preparing teachers, and this is a mission, a special status.”

Mkrtchyan urged the students to be active, gain not only knowledge, but also skills in order to be able to find their place as human beings and citizens in the modern world.

Lilit Mkrtchyan considered the best students of the 10 Faculties as the collective image of their profession and the respective Faculties. “With your advancement, responsibility and completed work, you have shown that you are a little more than all the other students and you represent all students; this is not only an advantage, but also a responsibility, and first and foremost a responsibility. This goes to show that you must set an example not only in the University and in the respective Faculties, but also within the boundaries of our country, and that you have the responsibility to represent the University in public.”

Nona Khachatryan, Best Student of the year 2024, announced the name of the best of the 10 best students of the University (“Best Student of ASPU”) — Simon Hovhannisyan, to whom she handed over the transferable medal, wishing him ongoing success.

Let us add that Simon is one of the best graduates of the ASPU Basic College (High School)

The best students of this academic year will be paying a two-day educational, cultural and study visit to Georgia, while the Best Student of the ASPU will have the opportunity to study at a well-known European university for one semester.

The music groups of the Faculty of Culture congratulated the best students with their performances, making the day more interesting and memorable.
