Associate Professor Varazdat Vardazaryan passes away at 74

It is with deep sorrow that we inform you of the death of Varazdat Vardazaryan, Associate Professor at the Chair of Mathematics and its Teaching Methods at Armenian State Pedagogical University (ASPU), Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences.
Varazdat Vardazaryan studied at Yerevan State University, and in 1974 he graduated from Leningrad State University. From 1986 to 1992, he headed the Chair of Higher Mathematics of the Goris branch of the Yerevan Polytechnic Institute. From 1992 to 1994, he was Deputy Chairman of the executive committee of the Goris City Council.
From 1996 until the last days of his life, Varazdat Vardazaryan worked at ASPU. For about ten years, he headed the Chair of Mathematical Analysis and Function Theory at ASPU.
Throughout his pedagogical career, the renowned specialist educated many generations of future educators arming them with professional knowledge, passing on to them fundamental and versatile knowledge about mathematical analysis, probability theory and mathematical statistics, applications of mathematical statistics and statistical elements.
The professor also worked at ASPU’s High School/ Basic College and enjoyed the love and respect of his pupils and colleagues.
Varazdat Vardazaryan’s co-workers from ASPU and Basic College express their deepest condolences to the educator’s relatives, friends, colleagues, and students.
The distinguished educator and colleague will be remembered by his students and friends as an honorable man, a dear friend, and an irreplaceable educator. He will always be in the memories and hearts of his colleagues, students, and pupils.
The farewell service for Varazdat Vardazaryan will be held at the “Zoler” funeral hall (25/3 Grigor Hasratyan str., Yerevan) on November 16.
