Europe Day was celebrated in Yerevan and different provinces of Armenia under the theme “EU-Armenia: Closer Than Ever”.

Among the participants of the festive events was Acting Rector of the Armenian State Pedagogical University (ASPU) Lilit Mkrtchyan. Head of the Delegation of the European Union to Armenia, Ambassador Vassilis Maragos delivered his welcoming remarks during the event.

Maragos emphasized that the EU-Armenia partnership is based on common values, which serve as the important foundations for a just, democratic and well-to-do society.

The Europe Day event also featured musical performances by the ASPU Music Department’s Brass Band, helping create a festive atmosphere.
