Discussion on automated education management system held at ASPU

The leadership of Armenian State Pedagogical University (ASPU) had a work meeting with representatives of the University’s Center for Information Technology.

The aim of the meeting was to discuss the automated management system of the University's educational process, the work done, and the steps aimed at improving processes subject to automation. The system was created and introduced in 2011 through the efforts of the Center's staff. It is a tool that connects and automates the work of different subdivisions of the University.

David Sargsyan, Head of the Center for Information Technology, said the first-of-its kind system is one of the best in the country. It manages the entire educational process, from entering student data into the database to design automation and printing of the diploma supplement.

"Dean's Office," "Chair," "Academic Section," "Lecturer," "Student" "Administration," "Admin…" During the meeting, the Center's representatives introduced the system consisting of 7 modules and said that steps are regularly taken to expand the functionality of the modules and better the tools, with particular emphasis on the process of fully automating document circulation within the system.

During the meeting, reference was also made to various electronic services and systems used at the University.

Acting Rector of ASPU Lilit Mkrtchyan inquired about the use of artificial intelligence in education and research as well as the work done to improve academic integrity mechanisms.

Let us add that meetings and discussions in different directions are organized at the University with the aim of planning, improving, formulating and developing further steps.
