The Chair was formerly called Chair of Foreign Languages and their Teaching Methods. In 2012, the Chair was renamed Chair of English Language Teaching and in 2017 - Chair of Teaching Foreign Languages.

Twenty lecturers, including three Candidates of Science/Associate Professors, two Candidates of Science/Lecturers and four degree seekers work in the Chair.

The Chair carries out large-scale scientific and methodological research, including the main provisions of modern methodology, requirements and strategies for foreign language teaching.

Carrying out methodological activity in all the ten faculties of the University, the lecturers of the Chair use the new teaching techniques, methods and approaches, try to localize the best practices, and solve the problems set before the Chair.
