Chair of Mathematics and its Teaching Methods
The Chair of Mathematics and its Teaching Methods was restructured in 2016, following the merger of the Chairs of Mathematics Teaching Methodologies, Higher Algebra and Geometry and Mathematical Analysis and Theory of Functions.

- Key issue of increasing effectiveness of teaching mathematics in secondary and high schools
- Methods of teaching mathematics: innovative methods: teaching collectively
- Values and their formation in the process of teaching mathematics
- Theory of sub-multiformities
- Integral differential equations, factorization
- Boolean and DeMorgan’s Functions, Theory of Quasi-Groups
- Spectral analysis of differential equations in Membrane Theory
- Mechanics of thin-walled systems, seismology, spectral analysis.

The Chair has 7 Doctors of Sciences, 8 Professors, 9 Candidates, 8 Associate Professors, 1 Assistant and 3 lecturers.

The current staff of the Chair has published over 1000 scientific works in local and international journals, mostly in highly rated journals that are featured in Scopus, Web of Science and other famous databases.

The professors and lecturers have also published textbooks devoted to mathematics in general education schools, algebra and geometry in secondary schools and geometry in high schools, as well as a number of other textbooks, monographs, methodical manuals and scientific-methodical anthologies devoted to Mathematical Analysis, Higher Algebra, Geometry and for universities.

The Chair currently collaborates with the Selmer Center at the University of Bergen in the Kingdom of Norway; the L. S. Atanasyan Chair of Geometry at Moscow State Pedagogical University in the Russian Federation; Moscow Pedagogical University; the Chair of Mathematics and Modeling at Yuri Gagarin State Technical University of Saratov in the Russian Federation and the Institute of Mechanics of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia.

Through the cooperation, joint scientific conferences and seminars are organized. The Chair also collaborates with general education schools and conducts teacher training courses, defenses of project tasks and more.

The Chair has actively participated and participates in the TEMPUS and ERASMUS+ cooperation and credit mobility programs of the European Union.
