Establishment of the Chair

The Chair of Pedagogy has been operating since the establishment of the Pedagogical University. Today, it is a university-wide chair, where three Doctors of Pedagogy, Professors, 18 Candidates of Sciences and Associate Professors work, teaching 33 bachelor’s degree and 29 master’s degree subjects. The teaching staff of the Chair is engaged in the study of contemporary issues in Pedagogy, and each lecturer prepares at least two scientific articles or teaching-methodological manuals every year.

To enhance education quality and prepare competent and quality teachers and other specialists meeting the requirements of modern society and education, to and continue the traditions of national education, develop pedagogical science, to study best practices in Pedagogy and localize it in the University’s educational programs, to publish and disseminate positive experience in the form of brochures

The Chair’s scientific activity

In the past five years, the Chair has had its “Research Laboratory for Contemporary Issues in Childhood” which has published five educational and methodological manuals about the most important issues in Pedagogy: use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in education, use of media technologies in the teaching process, and encouragement of a healthy lifestyle.

✔ Organizes university-wide competitions of sermons and PSAs dedicated to International Day for the Protection of Children
✔ Organizes Olympiads in Pedagogy for students and high school children
✔ Organizes lecturer-student conferences where students present the results of their research.
✔ Organizes exhibitions of didactic materials used by students during internships
