The student years are not only a period of challenges and self-discovery, but also an important stage that creates ample opportunities for personal, professional, and scientific growth. Mariam Gevorgyan's experience is the best evidence of this.

The cornerstone and main catalyst for her success story is the Armenian State Pedagogical University (ASPU), which, as she says, opened the doors [for her] to international educational development and professional growth from the very first years of her studies.

“Not only did the university environment impart professional knowledge but it also instilled confidence in my abilities, taught me to be proactive, goal-oriented, and constantly strive for new opportunities,” says Mariam Gevorgyan.

Thanks to the unique opportunity provided by the University, she participated in the "Autumn School" program at the Moscow State University of Psychology and Education. The knowledge and valuable practical experience gained there have become an important driving force for her scientific interests and subsequent professional development.

Her experience of working in an international educational environment helped her reveal the field of psychology from a new perspective and further strengthened her decision to pursue a scientific path. The solid knowledge base, along with the continuous support she received from the University guided her towards new achievements and greater professional heights.

Mariam Gevorgyan is now taking a Ph.D. program in Social Psychology. She also works at ASPU’s Basic School No. 57 and ASPU’s Basic College (High School), where she shares her knowledge and experience with pupils.

At the same time, Mariam continues her professional and academic development: soon she will go to Spain to conduct research and gain intercultural experience at the University of Rovira i Virgili within the framework of an Erasmus+ program.

“My journey so far and my plans for the future once again prove that every opportunity provided by one’s alma mater can play a decisive role in a young person’s professional development, academic advancement, and success on international platforms,” Mariam Gevorgyan said.
