One of the most unforgettable and meaningful periods of my life was the three months I spent in Athens as part of the Erasmus+ program. What initially seemed a mere academic opportunity gradually turned into a journey of self-discovery, independence and personal growth.

All this became a reality thanks to my Alma Mater - the Armenian State Pedagogical University (ASPU), its international ties and the trust the University placed in me.

My relocation to Greece first of all meant stepping out of my comfort zone. At first, everything seemed unfamiliar: a new country, a different culture, new people, and a completely different daily routine. However, over time, Athens became like a second home for me. I learned to adapt, to trust myself more, and even to find comfort and peace in an unfamiliar environment. In those days, I especially felt a responsibility to present in the best possible way not only my country but also the Armenian State Pedagogical University, which had entrusted me with that important and responsible mission.

In addition to academic experience, the program gave me memories that are almost impossible to describe in words: conversations with people of different nationalities, familiarity with unfamiliar cultures that were so different but at the same time somehow connected. Even the simplest moments, like walking through the streets of Athens, watching sunsets, discovering new places, trying new foods, laughing at trivial things, and living each moment to the fullest, were important.

Living abroad truly transformed my life! It taught me to be independent, to solve problems alone, and to become more flexible. Living away from home made me appreciate both my culture and the art of getting to know other cultures. Along with all this, I also reevaluated the knowledge and education I received at the Armenian State Pedagogical University. It allowed me to speak in front of international audiences and be proud of my professional training and level of preparedness.

Erasmus is much more than just learning. It is about growth, challenges, memories and rediscovering oneself. Those three months transformed me, gave me experience, lessons and people I will keep with me for the rest of my life.

I will always be grateful to the Armenian State Pedagogical University and to the people who gave me the opportunity, prepared me for difficulties and challenges, and helped me grow.
