The key to Zhanna Manukyan’s professional success lies in her diligence, deep respect for her profession, and strong sense of responsibility. Born in Armavir, Zhanna Manukyan developed an interest in culture, history, and the preservation of national heritage from an early age.

In 2003, she was admitted to the Faculty of Culture of the Armenian State Pedagogical University (ASPU) after Khachatur Abovian, where she specialized in Museum Studies and Monument Preservation. It was at ASPU that her professional journey truly began. The knowledge and experience she gained during her student years became a solid foundation for her future career.

To advance her professional expertise, Zhanna has participated in numerous international programs and professional training courses in Armenia and abroad, ranging from the British Museum's international program to specialized courses in museum management, museum education, marketing, leadership, and sustainable development. In 2011, she completed an accelerated course in Museology at the National Museum of Ethnology (MINPAKU) - an inter-university research institute in Japan, and was awarded an international certificate as a museum professional.

From 2012 to 2015, Zhanna studied at the Faculty of History of Yerevan State University, obtaining a Master's degree in Cultural Studies. Her master's research focused on contemporary issues and challenges in the management of memorial museum.

She began her professional career at the Martiros Sarian House-Museum, where she held various responsible positions for more than ten years. On her initiative, a number of educational and cultural programs were launched, and the “Sarian” Art Studio was established, which further contributed to the promotion of the museum's activities and the wider recognition of Sarian's artistic legacy.

Later, Zhanna also used her professional experience and knowledge in the public sector, working first in the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Armenia and then in the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport,and contributing to the development of Armenia's museum sector and the expansion of international cooperation.

Since 2020, Zhanna Manukyan has served as the Director of the Yeghishe Charents House-Museum. Under her leadership, the museum has implemented numerous educational, scientific, and cultural initiatives, organized a series of events dedicated to the 125th anniversary of the great Armenian writer (Yeghishe Charents). Among the museum's most significant achievements is the publication of the new, 13-volume academic edition of Charents' works, which is widely regarded as one of the most important cultural initiatives in recent years. She is also a member of the editorial board of the publication.

Zhanna Manukyan is also the author of more than a dozen publications. She also arranged the permanent exhibition at the Yeghishe Charents Memorial Hall in Charentsavan, as well as a number of exhibitions, all of which have contributed to the popularization of the Armenian cultural heritage.

Along with her professional success and achievements, one of the most important accomplishments in Zhanna Manukyan's life is her family. It was during her student years at ASPU that she met her future husband. Their shared interests and mutual trust gradually grew into a strong family, once again demonstrating that university years can mark the beginning of life's most significant milestones - not only in one's professional career but also in one's personal life.
