Faculty of Philology/Chair of Armenian Language and its Teaching Methods after Ararat Gharibyan

Doctor of Philology, Professor Ashot Galstyan is the Dean of the Philological Faculty of the Armenian State Pedagogical University named after Khachatur Abovyan.

Studied at the Armenian State Pedagogical Institute named after Khachatur Abovyan (now ASPU named after Khachatur Abovyan), then in the postgraduate program of the Institute of Language of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia.

Research interests - cultural heritage, text stylistics and problems of speech development, methodology of communicative situations. He is a co-author of school textbooks and teaching manuals.

Carried out retraining of school teachers of the Republic of Armenia and the Diaspora (Khachatur Abovyan school in Marseille, Mesrop Mashtots Sunday school in Seville).

A well-known specialist in his field is the editor-in-chief of the "Armenological Journal", a member of the editorial boards of the journals "Scientific Bulletin", "Language and Linguistics", "Djahukyan Readings".

Ashot Galstyan is a member of the Academic Council of the National Defense Research University of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia.

Under his scientific supervision, four applicants became candidates of science.
He is the author of 4 and co-author of 10 books, the author of about 150 articles.
