KHACHATUR ABOVYAN ARMENIAN STATE PEDAGOGICAL UNIVERSITY

The Pedagogical University Professor, Doctor of Pedagogy Garnik Hovakimyan unexpectedly passed away.

Mr. Garnik Hovakimyan studied at the Yerevan State Pedagogical Institute, Faculty of Culture, Department of Production from 1974 to 1978.
Since 1983 till today he was conducting scientific and pedagogical activities in his native university passing on to the younger generation his fundamental knowledge about ethnic and social psychology.

He was the author of a number of academic and methodological manuals, scientific publications and various papers, and a supervisor of numerous dissertations.

Likewise, he had undertaken active cultural work during various years and held managing positions.
The Pedagogical University would like to convey deepest condolences to Mr. Garnik Hovakimyan’s family, friends, colleagues and students.
Mr.Garnik Hovakimyan’s funeral ceremony will take place at the St.Sargis Church, in Nor Nork 5th block on 16 November, at 18:00; the burial service will set off from the same location on 17 November, at 14:00.
