Future Pedagogues Discuss the Problems of Inclusive Education
04.05.2012
The Faculty of Special Education often refers to the inclusive education and its problems in its various events, open classes and public lectures.

On this occasion, the 4th year students of the Department of Oligophrenopedagogy of the same Faculty, under the supervision of the Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Lilit Saratikyan, presented the contemporary and widely discussed problems of inclusive education.  Each student touched upon forms of implementation of inclusive education, the necessary conditions and ways to solve them.

The students consider that as future pedagogues, each of them has something to do in the efficient implementation process of the inclusive education as children with various abilities are treated with an individual approach in that system.

In addition, the future special pedagogues spoke about the benefits of the inclusive education, and particularly emphasized that the children with special educational needs were given opportunity to study in their communities, without being isolated of their families.

Besides, the reporters discussed the diversity of experience of education implementation for such children in different countries, the recent years' new approaches, the required programmes and the terms of efficient organization.

During the four years of practice they also managed to study the attitude of parents of the children with limited development capabilities, who in their turn, do not quite agree with the fact that their children and others' get educated in the same school.

Moreover, the students presented an acrostic headed «Inclusive Education» which comprised such words as «initiative, dream, mission, strategy, intelligence, health, innovation, fulfillment, team-work, education, flight, joy and devotion».

Upon the end of the open class the students performed the hymn of the “Huysi Kamurj” NGO.
