KHACHATUR ABOVYAN ARMENIAN STATE PEDAGOGICAL UNIVERSITY

On 13 April, an international educational event “Unified Dictation” organised by the Russian Centre for Science and Education took place at the Pedagogical University.

In the previous years, the “Unified Dictation” was held in several universities of Armenia; this year the pedagogical University also became a platform for the international education package.

Among the participants of the ASPU Russian language unified dictation there were not only fifty 1st to 4th year studnets of Foreign Languages, but also representatives of various disciplines, such as mountaineers, writers, etc.

At the Pedagogical University the dictation text, which in fact, was not disclosed before its actual start, was read by Russian poet, journalist, Yelena Shouvaeva-Petrosyan. In addition, videos about the international educational campaign “Unified Dictation” were also presented during the dictation.

We would also like to mention, that the “Unified Dictation’ international educational campaign has been held since 2004. The aim of this initiative, organised in Russia and in a number of other countries, is to give an opportunity for people to check their own knowledge of Russian language and to raise interest in increasing the level of literacy.

Upon finalizing the results, the participants will receive certificates. And in fact, according to the organisers of the event, the “Unified Dictation” was best arranged at the Pedagogical University, from the perspectives of both organisational matters and the number of studnets.
